Tragic Accident in Nakhon Ratchasima: Elderly Woman Dies After Falling into Well

On July 31, 2026, a 78-year-old woman, identified as Mrs. Lamud, tragically lost her life in the Talat sub-district of Nakhon Ratchasima’s Mueang district. According to reports from Khaosod Online Thailand, the incident occurred while the woman was taking a break from cutting grass. She sat on a concrete well cover, which subsequently collapsed, causing her to fall approximately three meters into the well below.

Local rescue teams from the Hook 31 Nakhon Ratchasima Foundation and officers from the Cho Ho Police Station were dispatched to the scene at 12:37 p.m. following reports of the accident. Upon arrival, responders confirmed that the victim had already passed away. Due to the narrow and deep nature of the concrete structure, specialized equipment was required to recover her body. CCTV footage reportedly captured the moment of the collapse.
