Overloaded Durian Truck Crashes Off M6 Motorway Interchange

On the evening of August 3, 2026, a serious traffic accident occurred on the M6 motorway (Bang Pa-in to Nakhon Ratchasima) near the bypass junction in Nakhon Ratchasima province. According to reports from Khaosod Online, a pickup truck heavily loaded with durian lost control while navigating a curved interchange. The vehicle fell approximately 4 to 5 meters from the elevated section, landing on the road below and colliding with a roadside utility pole.

The impact caused the truck's cargo frame to detach, scattering durians across the road. Emergency responders from the Hook 31 Nakhon Ratchasima rescue unit arrived at the scene to assist the occupants. The driver, identified as 53-year-old Mr. Amnat, sustained injuries from the fall and was unable to move; he was subsequently transported to Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital for medical treatment. Two other family members were also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
