Renowned Mountaineer Nimsdai Purja Dies in Pakistan Avalanche

According to a report by Khaosod Online citing Elite Expeditions, 43-year-old British-Nepalese mountaineer Nimsdai Purja has died. He was among ten individuals who lost their lives in an avalanche on Broad Peak (K3), the world's 12th-highest mountain, located in Pakistan's Karakoram range. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 30.

Prior to the confirmation of the full death toll, Pakistani authorities had recovered the bodies of three other climbers from Purja’s team: American Mallory Gais, Omani national Nadira Ahmed Abdullah Al Harthi, and Nepalese climber Pur Bahadur Gurung.
