OIC Confirms Insurance Coverage for Late YouTuber 'Hlun Solo'

The Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC) of Thailand has announced it is overseeing the insurance claims process following the death of popular YouTuber Bawontat Pengsuk, known as 'Hlun Solo'. The influencer passed away in Georgia, and an official investigation into the cause of his death is currently ongoing.

According to OIC Secretary-General Chuchat Pramoonpol, the agency has confirmed that the deceased held a travel insurance policy with Sompo Insurance (Thailand) PCL. The policy provides coverage in the event of death resulting from accidents or homicide, with a sum insured of 5 million baht. The OIC stated that it is working closely with the insurer to ensure that the beneficiaries receive their full rights and fair treatment under the terms of the policy, provided that the necessary documentation and consent from the family are processed.
