Thai YouTuber and Chula Scholar Bawontat Pengsuk Passes Away in Georgia

According to a report by Khaosod Online, Bawontat Pengsuk, also known as 'Hlun Solo,' has passed away while visiting Georgia. Bawontat was in the country to produce travel-related content viewed through the lenses of sociology and anthropology.

Bawontat was a graduate of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Political Science (Class 71). His academic journey was supported by the 'Chula-Rural' scholarship program, an initiative established in 1982 by former university president Prof. Dr. Kasem Suwannakul. The program was designed to provide full financial support—covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses—to high-achieving students from rural areas who lacked the financial means to pursue higher education. Bawontat was a member of the 37th cohort of this program, which has historically helped numerous students from across Thailand access university education.
