Miracle Rescue: Dog Survives 29 Days Under Rubble in Venezuela

According to a report by Khaosod Online, citing the New York Post, a dog named Beyli was rescued from the ruins of a collapsed building in Catia La Mar, Venezuela, 29 days after a series of major earthquakes struck the country in June. The seismic events, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude, have resulted in over 5,500 fatalities and widespread destruction.

Rescue workers discovered Beyli curled beside the body of her deceased owner. Despite having no access to food or water for nearly a month, the dog survived, a feat veterinarians have described as a miracle. Beyli has since been reunited with the owner’s 11-year-old daughter, Victoria Isabel Rangel, who lost both her mother and grandmother in the disaster. The pair are currently residing in a relief shelter.
