Fatal Accident at Nam Daeng Waste Disposal Site

On the afternoon of July 31, 2026, a fatal workplace accident occurred at the Nam Daeng waste disposal site in Chachoengsao Province. According to a report by Khaosod Online, local police were notified at approximately 3:30 p.m. regarding a worker who had been crushed by a municipal garbage truck.

The victim, identified as 66-year-old Mr. Anek, was a waste collection employee for the Bang Phung Subdistrict Municipality. Investigators found the victim beneath the rear wheels of an orange municipal truck. The driver, 56-year-old Mr. Mongkol, stated that he was unaware of his colleague's presence behind the vehicle. He speculated that the victim may have been attempting to clear debris from the rear of the truck when he tripped and fell into the path of the wheels. The driver reported stopping the vehicle immediately upon hearing the victim's cries.
