DSI Issues Second Summons for Pawut in Forex Fraud Case

On July 31, 2026, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) confirmed that it has issued a second summons for Pawut Pongvitayapanu, a party-list MP for the People's Party, and 22 other individuals, including entertainer Rattapoom 'Film' Tokongsup. According to Khaosod Online, the investigation concerns allegations of unauthorized Forex trading, public fraud, and money laundering.

The DSI’s Technology and Information Crime Bureau is leading the probe into charges including operating a securities brokerage without a license, unauthorized futures trading, and the input of false information into computer systems. Following the initial summons, Pawut’s legal representative, Phirat Treepetch, submitted a request on July 24 to postpone the appointment. The DSI has since confirmed that it has not issued an arrest warrant at this time, as the legal team has requested a new meeting date for August 3, 2026.
