The Thai Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), through the Anti-Fake News Center (AFNC), has issued an urgent public warning regarding a prevalent online scam. According to a report by Thai Post on August 6, 2026, malicious actors are operating Facebook pages that falsely claim to assist victims of financial fraud in recovering their lost money.

These fraudulent pages often pose as official police or government-affiliated services to gain the trust of individuals who have already been victimized.
