Police Rescue 18-Year-Old Victim from Call Center Scam in Songkhla

On August 6, 2026, the Cyber Crime Investigation Center of Provincial Police Region 9 successfully located and rescued an 18-year-old man who had fallen victim to a call center fraud scheme. According to Khaosod Online, the victim’s father reported that his son had already transferred 2 million baht to the scammers and had become unreachable.

Police tracked the victim to a location on Thian Cho Uthit Road in Hat Yai, Songkhla, after discovering his motorcycle parked outside a building. Officers intervened just as the victim was preparing to transfer an additional 5 million baht to the perpetrators.
