Status of 'Thai Tiew Thai Plus' Tourism Stimulus Remains Uncertain

On August 6, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supachai Suthumpun addressed the status of the proposed 'Thai Tiew Thai Plus' tourism stimulus project. Speaking at Government House, Supachai, who chairs the subcommittee on trade, tourism, and community economy, stated that the initiative is currently undergoing internal discussions.

Regarding the timeline, Supachai clarified that the proposal will not be submitted to the Cabinet for approval this August. She indicated that the process requires further evaluation and that it remains unclear whether the program will be ready for implementation by the end of the year.
